Guitar lessons should be both rewarding and challenging. Many of the people who come to me find themselves stuck with just the challenging part. From kids to adults and beginners to experts, everyone can find themselves stuck. Fortunately for the people near the Milwaukee area, there is a professionally trained and college educated guitar teacher right in your neighborhood.
The philosophy is simple, music should be fun. Music is a source of inspiration and what you learn should make you want to learn more. Whatever reason you decide to learn guitar, my goal is to make it the most enjoyable experience possible.
Learning an instrument is about discipline. You need to be able to commit yourself and learn from your mistakes. This isn't something that comes naturally for a lot of people. But with a good mentor and a good attitude, you'll find yourself learning guitar by practicing as little as 10 minutes a day.
Students who work with me have a tendency to stick around for a long time (sometimes upwards of 5 years). This is because they know they're getting quality lessons from a great and inspiring guitar teacher. Whether you're just a beginner or you're looking to take that next step, these are the best lessons Milwaukee has to offer.
My name is Alex Bennett. I've been playing music since I was 7 years old and I've been teaching for over 10 years. I've helped over a hundred students along their guitar playing journey. I have a passion for music and a passion for teaching and I can't wait to pass on the thousands of hours worth of music knowledge on to you.
I play many styles of guitar but I have a passion for Rock and Blues especially. I have a songwriting degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston and I currently am the lead guitar player for one of Milwaukee's most iconic rock bands The Toys.
Private Lessons are what most people choose. A one on one program designed to give you a personalized, hand tailored experience. Time slots are available in half hour or one hour sessions. Contact us to claim your FREE first lesson.
Group Lessons are another option that people have gone with. Some like group lessons simply to get started or because they feel less pressure by having other people with them. To put together a group lesson you only need two people or can have as many as four. The range of people put together in the group can vary widely in experience or even type of instruments (electric, acoustic, or bass guitar).
